Chinese translation for the acupuncture point, Yintang is Hall of impression. Hall is defined as a corridor or passageway, or the large entrance room of a house. An impression is defined as a strong effect produced by intellect, emotion or conscience. Thus, Yintang is the entrance or passageway to the mind.
The 6th chakra or 3rd eye chakra, is an area of the body that relates to wisdom, putting our experience in perspective and the ability to see the big pictue. Furthermore, the point relates to insight and mind development. This chakra correspond to seeing clear picture (symbolic or literal), wisdom, intuition, mental facilities and intellect.
